How Do You Calculate Marble Adhesive Cost per Sq Ft?
The calculation is simple only after the coverage number is trustworthy:
Material Cost per Sq Ft
Delivered bag price ÷ (verified installed coverage in m² per bag × 10.7639) = adhesive material cost per sq ft.
For example, if a 20 kg bag costs ₹2,098 and the current TDS says the bag installs 5–6 m² at the specified thickness, the converted installed area is approximately 53.82–64.58 sq ft per bag. The resulting adhesive-only material cost is about ₹32.49–₹38.98 per sq ft before wastage, delivery, labour, substrate preparation, waterproofing or other system costs.
If the same TDS says the bag covers only 2.5–3 m² at a thicker 6 mm bed, the installed area falls to approximately 26.91–32.29 sq ft per bag, and the adhesive-only material cost rises to about ₹64.97–₹77.96 per sq ft. The bag price did not change—the bed thickness and consumption did. [7]

Why You Should Not Calculate Cost per Sq Ft From a Marketing Coverage Label Alone

Why Can a ₹1,200 Bag Cost More Than a ₹2,000 Bag on the Wrong Project?
