What If the Marble Is Moisture-Sensitive, Mesh-Backed or Resin-Backed?

This is one of the most important technical checks for premium imported stone. Some natural stones can deform, darken, stain or react when exposed to water from a cementitious setting system. Others arrive with resin/fiberglass backing that changes what the adhesive must bond to.

How Should Cement-Based Tile & Marble Adhesive Be Applied?

Always follow the exact DUSH product TDS, because water ratio, usable time, permitted bed thickness and curing instructions can differ. At a general level, the current DUSH product pages and established tile/stone guidance point to the same core workflow.

1. Confirm the system before opening the bag

Check the tile/stone, backing, substrate, wall/floor orientation, wet/exterior condition, dimensions, weight and movement detail. If the stone is moisture-sensitive or resin-backed, stop and confirm compatibility before using an ordinary cementitious system. [13] [14] [28]

2. Prepare the substrate
